  重要结构标记：Inequalities(主语)of gender have also existed(谓语)in pastoralist societies, but(表转折)they(主语)seem(谓语)to have been softened by the absence of steep hierarchies of wealth in most communities, and also by the requirement(并列结构)that women acquire most of the skills of men, including, often, their military skills(同位语从句).
